This week I wrote several posts about sugar. I harp on sugar a lot it seems. I don't hate sugar, in fact, I love sugar...don't we all? Let me clarify, I don't hate the way sugar tastes, I hate the way sugar makes me feel and that I can't stop at just a little bit. I really don't like that it's addictive and if it is in the house, that's all I want. Who else agrees with me?!!
There has always been a tug at my heart that I need to do more for God; that I am CALLED to do more. We are all blessed. I recognize I'm blessed and know that I am called to be a blessing. I try to do this in everyday situations; talking with friends, listening to my children’s problems, even just holding a door for someone. But, to me, this seems insignificant and not enough. Is it enough??
My passion for food and helping women meet their potential, allows me to fulfill my calling. But it starts with me feeling good!!
Food is everywhere and, sometimes unfortunately, is necessary. It can be both helpful and harmful. Food can help the body thrive and be fruitful or it can be poison and cause devastation. In my nutrition practice, no one comes to me feeling good. Clients come to me with a problem that exists within their body. They are no longer running their bodies smoothly. It is my job to teach them how to use the tools God has given them to fix the problems and help their bodies run smoothly again. My goal is for you to understand at a deeper level how the body is designed, and how to intentionally implement changes to reach your potential.
I don’t want anyone to cower down through life and sail safely, living under the radar, until death. Ultimately, our days are numbered. Each one of us has a purpose here on this earth and that is to be a vessel for Christ’s work and to shine His light and love on others. We are here to show others who and what God is...love. I truly believe we aren’t able to be the best person God made us to be without feeling well. And that starts with what we put in our minds and mouths.
We live in a generation that has knowledge of health and wellness at our fingertips. Sometimes, though, the amount of information we can research and find can be overwhelming. Where do you begin when there’s too much information? That’s the point when I usually give up. I don’t want you to give up on your wellness, though.
In my opinion, the best place to start is with sugar. Sugar is EVERYWHERE!! It is visible and hidden in processed foods.
So again, I say start with sugar. Keep a food diary to track how many foods and how often you eat sugar (and sugar substitutes). Slowly (or cold turkey) replace your sugary processed foods with whole foods and feel the benefits.
If you want to try the cold turkey route and have no clue where to start...I got ya covered. Start with my Diet 180º Bootcamp. It is a 10 day menu with loads of extras (tips, tricks, cheat sheets...) and it's only $47 😮 If you eat only from the Bootcamp meals, you will cut out all the sugar, nourish your body, and enjoy what you're eating (is that even possible??...yes!). You can even spread the Bootcamp days out to make it last much longer! So go get it here!
Head on over to my social pages (Instagram and Facebook) to watch my Water Wednesday live as I discuss our frenimy...sugar.
Have a beautiful Easter week friend!!!
For women with a life-altering symptom, fed up with the traditional medical system and want true, root cause healing from the inside out.
I love the word intentional. I will agree that it is a buzz word 🙄 but I still love it. Intentional means just thinking about it isn’t enough. Intentional means just trying isn’t enough. To live intentionally, you make big life decisions with thought and purpose. What Does It Mean to Live Intentionally? A colleague once told me, if a client tells her they will “try” to change their eating habits, she tells them that is the same as your spouse saying, “I will try to be faithful.” (cue record...
